From Micah - Your first born!

Mom,
Happy 40th Birthday!!! Thank you so much for all the love and help and support you have given me throughout my 19 years.
Nearly half of your life you have devoted to raising me and my siblings to be upstanding and ready to face the world. Lucky for me I get to be the first one to go out and see how you did. Even though I have had a little bit of trouble being away from home and adjusting to an unfamiliar background the values and precepts that you taught me starting when I was young have helped me every day in making decisions to keep my life going in the right direction and to make sure I can look myself in the eye. You have made the single greatest contribution to the person that I am today through your years of selfless service as a stay at home mom, and there is nothing I can ever do to thank you enough for that.
You’re hitting 40 with momentum and I know you won’t be slowing down any time soon. You are still fit and beautiful and a gracious mentor that I have much to glean from. I hope that by the time I turn 40 I can have made as great an influence as you have on the world through good.
Our adventure together is just starting. Soon enough you will be a contributing factor to my college graduation and marriage and a Grandmother to my children. As the years start moving faster we may see each other less but every day the mark you have made on my life will be seen through my actions and go on to benefit others.
I love you so much and can never thank you enough for all that you have done for me and continue to do for me. I hope that I can live my life in a way that you can accept and be proud of. I miss you and wish that I could be celebrating this important day with you.
Happy Birthday, mom!!!

Love,
Micah
